Series 1 - Bead

Inspired by how people use homophones and other methods to avoid triger censorship in the internet, my teammates and I created a series of works about the transmission and recognition of coded messages. This series includes a booklet for sharing information, a bead chain for identifying "similar individuals," and a webpage.

Booklet with couple verses we wrote
“Masked by her guarded speech, Let every voice persist. The only tale untold is the echo of restraint."

Necklace, Bracelet ,and Keychain
The pink silver beads represent Morse code "do not go gentle into that good night" and "identity traveler"
Series 2 - King Arthur Literature
1- Mediaeval as fanfiction
This project explores the evolution of character portrayals in Arthurian legends under different authors. The enduring popularity of Arthurian tales has inspired countless adaptations, from medieval literature to modern interpretations. Upon tracing the origins of these stories, I discovered that even in the Middle Ages, authors’ religious beliefs, cultural values, and societal preferences significantly influenced their depiction of characters. This variability in character portrayal mirrors the creative dynamics of modern fanfiction, inspiring the intriguing title of this project. Focusing on Gawain, Arthur’s nephew, I examine his transformation from a notable figure in early works like The History of the Kings of Britain to a character whose role shifted under the influence of later “foreign” knights such as Tristan and Lancelot, illustrating how authors’ differing priorities shape a character’s identity across time.

2- ailse of Avalon
This is the third piece of the series. It focuses on documenting how individuals from different cultural backgrounds and own the different life experiences perceive the same object differently. I chose the apple as the subject of this investigation, not only because it is common in everyday life but also due to its symbolic connection to Arthurian legend, where Avalon is sometimes described as an island abundant with apple trees.
The entire reserch has 2 part: individual interview, and questionnaires
